Salvatore F. Campanella

Salvatore F. Campanella, 88, of Matawan, passed away, Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Bayside Assisted Living, Keansburg.  He was born in Jersey City.  Salvatore worked in sales for Burlington Northern Freight Company, Plainfield, before retiring.  He was a communicant of St. Benedict RC Church, Holmdel.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during peacetime.

Salvatore was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret “Peggy” Campanella, in 2008; his parents, Frank and May Campanella; and his sister, Bart Reuter.  He is survived by his son, Christopher Campanella of NYC; and three cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Alexis and Ryan.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735, was entrusted with the private burial at the Brig. Gen. William C.
