Michele L. (Dressel) Sakowski

Michele L. (Dressel) Sakowski, 42, of Aberdeen, passed away, Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  Born in Staten Island, NY, she resided most of her life in the Matawan/Aberdeen area.  She worked at Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank as an RN in the intensive care unit.  Michele was a parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church,  Keyport. 

Michele was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel Gann and George “G” Edward Gann, III.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Steven P. Sakowski; her loving children, Nicholas, Samantha and Alexandra, all of Aberdeen; her mother, Sharon King of Delray Beach, FL; her father, Douglas Alan Dressel of CA; her sister, JoAnn Kallianos and her husband Angelo of Buffalo, NY; her brothers, Christopher Gann and wife Tara of Toms River; and David Gann of Chesney, SC; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Peter and Maria Sakowski, Jr.; her 13 nieces and nephews; her one great niece; her sisters-in-law, Monica Gann of Savannah, GA; Lisa Smith and her husband Glen of Readington; and Dana Straniero and her husband Chris of Holmdel; her best friends, Michelle Magnenat-Saluka and Kathleen Craparo-Quinlan; and many more loving friends.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Friday, December 2, 2016, 9:45AM at the funeral home, with a 10:30AM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.  To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
