Maryann C. (Carr) Barry

Maryann C. (Carr) Barry, 81, of Manahawkin, passed away, Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Southern Ocean Center, Stafford Township.  She was born in Jersey City, where she was an awesome swimmer. She worked as a bus driver with Murphy Bus Company for the Union Beach and Keyport School systems.  She loved to sing, dance, read, laugh and be around company.  She was a people person, who loved everyone. 

Maryann was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Barry in 2012; a daughter, Doreen Barry; her two sons, Kevin and Tommy Barry; a granddaughter, Gina; her parents, John and Alva (Evans) Carr; and her two sisters, Geraldine McCarthy and Alva Larkin.  She is survived by three loving daughters, Deborah Angerami and her husband George of Manahawkin; Denise Hemhauser and her husband Charles of Manahawkin; and Diane Hoag and her husband Greg of Fernandina Beach, FL; her cherished grandchildren, Tommy Jr., James, Kristine, Jennifer, Erica and Leann; and her precious great grandchildren, Gussy, Tyler, Charlee, Dominick, Gavin and Mila.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, February 5, 2016, from 8:45AM-10:45AM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; with an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
