Luis J. Lopez

Luis J. Lopez, 65, of Cliffwood, passed away, Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the VA Hospital, East Orange.  He was born in the Bronx, where he resided before moving to Cliffwood in 1988.  He retired from the New York City Postal Service.  Luis served his country in the Marine Corp. during Vietnam as a Lance Corporal.

Luis was predeceased by his parents Luis Rene and Noris (Rodriguez) Lopez and a daughter Sabrina Lopez.  He is survived by his beloved wife Migdalia (Martinez) Lopez; his loving children Luis Lopez of FL, Jason Lopez of FL, and Jennifer Lopez of Cliffwood; his siblings Rene Lopez of Long Island, Michael Lopez of FL, John Lopez of FL, Ernesto Lopez of NJ, Julio Lopez of NJ, and Patricia Lopez of NY; and five cherished grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, from 3-7PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Wednesday, August 10, 2016, 10AM, with a 10:30AM Service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Brig.
