Stanley "Butch" Derechailo

Stanley “Butch” Derechailo, 64, of Cliffwood Beach, passed away, Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  Born in Newark, he was a lifelong resident of Cliffwood Beach.  He was employed for the past 44 years, currently as a supervisor, with the Aberdeen Public Works Department.  For 43 years, he was a fireman with the Cliffwood Volunteer Fire Company; he was an ex-chief; and currently and for the past eight years, commissioner with Fire District #2, Aberdeen.

Butch was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Clare A. (Strohbach) Derechailo; and a sister, Clare Ann Derechailo.  He is survived by a dear brother, Rick Derechailo and his wife Joy of Matawan; a dear sister, Kimberly Sefack of Cliffwood Beach; two cherished nephews and a niece, Joseph and Michael Sefack and Jenna Derechailo; a host of cousins; and many dear friends.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited Friday, June 26, 2015, from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Saturday, June 27, 2015, 10AM, with services starting at 10:15AM, at the funeral home.
