Rose D. (Myers) Isaacs

Rose D. (Myers) Isaacs, 66, of Cliffwood, NJ, passed away, Thursday, February 19, 2015, at home.  Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she came to the United States where she resided in Brooklyn and the Bronx, NY, and Atlanta, GA, before moving to Cliffwood 12 years ago.  She was an traffic engineer with AT&T for over 30 years, in NYC and Atlanta.  After she proudly retired from AT&T, she worked for the NJ Department of Children and Family Services. Rose was a faithful student of Catholic scripture and a communicant of St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.

She cared for everyone like they were her own children. Her family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers have all learned from her amazing strength, generosity, and compassion. Her presence at family functions, big or small, defined all family traditions. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, and her legacy will live on through the tremendous impact she had on them.

She is survived by a loving daughter, Katherine D. Isaacs of Yonkers, NY; and her dear siblings, Maria of Cliffwood, NJ; Hazel of Toms River, NJ; and Ferdinand (George) of Canada; and several devoted nieces and nephews.  


Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, February 27, 2015, from 10-11AM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735. There will be an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery (across from the church).
