Be assured of our thoughts and prayers during this time of grief. We also know what it is to lose a young son, as well as a grandson, in death. We think of the verse in Ecclesiastes 12:1 wherein the write challenges us: "Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth." May the Spirit of God give Nick's family and friends the courage and comfort that comes from the heart of Jesus / Yeshua, the Messiah, Savior, and Son of God, Who experienced death as a young man but rose again that we may be forgiven and have the gift of eternal life. When our teenage son, Billy, died after a serious injury, Mrs. Mary M. Wygant of Cream Ridge, NJ, wrote this in his memory, which we share with you at this time:
"Never too young to be with God
Though it be a sorrowful day
For those on earth left alone and sad,
To know he has gone away.
Never too young to be with God.
Just a little while ago
He came from God.
If God calls back the Loan,
It's surely better so."
We do not own our family members and friends, but rather we are on "loan" to each other until we return to the One Who created us and gave His life to redeem us. May we treasure these relationships and honor each other with the love and fellowship which originates in the heart of God. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all that the peace of God be with you and yours. Amen.

We are holding up the family in our prayers. No human words can comfort the broken hearts and lives as a result of Nick's sudden departure from us. The Bible does tell us that we can be assured that God works all things together for the good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Some how, in some way, this tragedy will be used for our good and God's glory. We may not see how...we might not know why...but this we do know...Jesus loves you all and so do all of us who know you.
So we will continue to pray and trust the Lord to see you through day by day, moment by moment.

To the family of Nick - Words will never be able to express my heartfelt grief at the loss of your precious son. He came to St. Mark's Center for Community Renewal as a High School Senior and, despite the passing of 3 years, his light continued to shine up to my departure for seminary in August, in the countless lives he so generously and lovingly touched. He gave so much of himself - his quiet servitude, his inherent nature of caring and compassion and that beautiful contagious smile. As a postulant for Priesthood, I have been graced by God to have met so many servants on my journey and so very blessed to count Nick as one of the foremost. His memory will last a lifetime in my ministry and life. Thank you for sharing your son in such a wonderful way. I pray that the peace of God be with you all now until our gracious Lord reunites you all in His heavenly kingdom.
