Jan, Bonnie, Dan, and Lisa-
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
You have a very special family, rooted in kindness and love. The compassion you showed Dan and each other is amazing, something we can all respect and admire.
We hope you find peace in knowing your tireless efforts to help and support each other made all the difference to Dan. God Bless-

My friend Danny..........I will miss you buddy. The many talks we had together, going to Nino's pizza, the Driftwood Beach Club we enjoyed with our children, and most of all playing softball with the best pitcher and catcher in all Middletown on some really good teams like MGM Lumber and Vassallo. Talking baseball and softball with you Dan was the best time of my life. Dan was a special friend , just like a brother.I am very sad that you left us too soon but I will never forget you. I love you Dan. Your good friend,John

Dearest Dan, We know you only through your wonderful daughter, Bonnie. She thought you were pretty special. The apple apparently doesn't fall far from the tree. Rest in eternal peace knowing that your family will hold all the wonderful memories of you in their hearts and minds. You've done well, Mr. Catena, you've done well! Peace, Anna and Jorge

My deepest sympathy to the Catena family. While spending most of my childhood in their home, it was always filled with laughter. Dan (Mr Catena as I knew him) always had a joke to tell and saw humor in every occasion, especially the day young Dan was born. I still laugh when I think of those times. Also the long Sunday drives to the "country" to post-a-cardish scenery. I will do my best to come to the services and would love to see you all again. Rest in peace Mr Catena

Jan, Bonnie & Danny:

I bet Dan has his pitching glove all oiled up and ready to start the game. Remember him with Bonnie and Danny at the beach and all the fun and laughs at the beach, beach house and watching the ball games, those are my memories. God Bless. Madeline & George.

Dan was a great neighbor, a better friend and someone who would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. From taking me to the beach club as a small kid , to helping me with junky cars along the way ,to trips to Monmouth Park and grouper reubens in Florida. From being one of the family at the restaurant to visiting mother dunn in her senior years he always had a smile and a kind word and if you were lucky a sweet treat that he had baked. . Danny and Bonnie are a testament to big Dans life and he was proud father and grandfather. Bless you Janet you were the love of his life.May the end of his ordeal bring you some comfort which you deserve. God Bless you all

To Aunt Janet, Bonnie, Lisa, and Danny:

Words can't describe my fondness and love for Uncle Danny. As sad as his passing is, I will reflect on our many memories with a huge smile and a warm feeling. Our many breakfasts and trips up and down Routes 35 and 36 were always a treat for me. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him, talking about anything and everything. Our conversations about baseball and the especially our Yankees were the icing on the cake.

He was a wonderful uncle and a truly lovable person. His time on Earth was a blessing to all of us. Rest in peace.
