Benito B. DiFedele
September 3, 1929 ~ April 22, 2015 (age 85) 85 Years Old
Benito Blaise DiFedele, 85, of Colts Neck passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at home surrounded by family. He spent a lifetime devoted to family and farming as a partner in DiFedele Brothers Farm.
Ben is predeceased by his mother Concetta D’Alessio DiFedele, father Biagio DiFedele, sister Edith Piscitelli, and four brothers, Eugene, Tullio, Joseph, and John DiFedele. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anne DiFedele, his son Blaise DiFedele and his wife Carol, his son Thomas DiFedele and his wife Jo Ann, his daughter Carol McCarthy and her husband Jimmy, his daughter Christine Jannarone and her husband Steven.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Michelle Carney and her husband Jeremy, Christina DiFedele, Susanna DiFedele, Virginia DiFedele, Benito DiFedele, Richard Nitto Jr. and his wife Marissa, Jeffrey Nitto and his fiancée Allison Magness, Carolyn McCarthy, Hunter McCarthy, Concetta Jannarone, Hannah Jannarone and her fiancé Andrew Barnett, Treyvor Jannarone, Trent Jannarone and one great-grandchild Caden Davis.
Ben was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Colts Neck, served on the Monmouth County Board of Agriculture as a member of the Executive Committee, Chosen “Man of the Year” 1975, served on the Board of Directors of the Farmers and Gardeners Association of Holmdel, member of The Vegetable Growers Association of New Jersey, member of The New Jersey Agricultural Society, Lifetime Member of the United States Navy League, and Lifetime Member of Foresters.
Family and friends are invited Sunday, April 26, 2015, from 2-6PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Monday, April 27, 2015, 8:30AM at the funeral home, with a 9:15AM Mass at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.
