Nicholas James Superior, 20, also known as “Soup” of Keansburg, passed away, Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Keansburg. He was an avid fisherman and was a passionate rider of long boards, dirt bikes, and pretty much anything with an engine and wheels. He was a proud Keansburg Titan on both wrestling and football teams.

Nicholas was predeceased by his grandfather, George T. Superior Sr.; his grandmother Alice Doherty; and his four-legged best friend, Koal. He is survived by his parents, George and Kathleen Superior; his two sisters, Allison Superior, Jessica Povolo and her husband Sean Collier; his grandfather James Doherty; and his grandmother Audrey Superior. He was loved by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as countless friends, whom he loved right back. He benefited from the kindness, and guidance of many dedicated and loving teachers, coaches, and other faculty members in the Keansburg School District. He will be dearly missed and remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2017, from 4-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Friday, January 27, 2017, 10AM at the funeral home, with an 11AM funeral service at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
