William “Billie” J. Hubner 78, and Euphemia "Effie" (Macdonald) Hubner 75, passed away on December 30th, 2021 together in Keyport, New Jersey, along with their dog LuLu.
William was born in Palisades Park, NJ to the late Paul and Lillian (Schnell) Hubner.

William was a member of the Ridgefield American Legion Post #221 as well as a member of the Keyport Masonic Lodge #64. He was especially proud of the fact that he helped start the girls softball league in Keyport for KYAL.
Effie was born in Ridgefield, NJ to her late parents, John and Euphemia (Bernard) Macdonald. Effie attended Farleigh Dickinson University where she studied to become a dental hygienist. Effie also attended Vogue Modeling School. In her later years, Effie spent time as a bus aide helping autistic children before her retirement.
William and Effie are predeceased by William's parents Paul and Lillian Hubner, as well as his siblings, Marianne Comfort, Butch Schnell, Mickey Gehler, and Joseph Hubner. They are also predeceased by Effie's parents John and Euphemia Macdonald and her brother, Ian Macdonald. Together, Effie and William, are also predeceased by their granddaughter, Sophia Michael.
In their 55 years of marriage, Billie and Effie, who referred to each other as “Huggie Bear” and “My Dutchess”, were always known to be the first couple to hit the dance floor. They were the first to help someone in need and always had a way of making people feel special. Their pride and joy was their family. There was nothing in their world that was ever more important.
Together they leave behind their five daughters; Elizabeth Turner and Glenn Kofoed of Middletown, NJ, Bonnie Jean and Peter Mallen of Union Beach, NJ, Christine Hubner of Belford, NJ, Jacqueline and Steven Bryce of Freehold, NJ, and Kathleen and Nicholas Molino of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, as well as William's brother Al Hubner of Jackson, NJ.
