Walter G. Dill, Sr., 93, of West Keansburg, NJ passed away Monday, September 7th, at his residence with his family by his side.
Walter was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on March 16, 1927, he lived in Port Monmouth and Sandy Hook prior to moving to West Keansburg 62 years ago. Walter was a truck driver for Coastal Tank Lines in Avenel and later Nappi Trucking in Matawan. He was a kind soul to all that new him, and he cherished spending time with his family. Walter also loved animals, enjoyed camping, riding his bicycle and going to Atlantic City.
He also proudly served in the U.S. Navy in WW II.
Walter was predeceased by his wife Sarah in 1996 and also by his sister Emma Barbato.
He is survived by his cherished sons; Walter Jr. and his wife Anna, and his son Frederick with whom he lived. Also surviving is his brother Vincent Dill and his beloved dog Milo.
Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, September 10th at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, and a Funeral Service will be held 10 AM on Friday, September 11th at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey. Interment will be 11am at St. Gabriels Cemetery, NJ.
