Virginia E. Thomas

   Virginia E. Thomas, 79 of Keansburg passed away Tuesday May 24, 2022 at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.

   She was born to the late Herbert Hickey and Elsie P. (Sharp) Hickey.

   Virginia was a loving mother who raised her children alone, enjoyed shopping, her flower garden and loved to decorate her home for all Holidays.

   Virginia is also predeceased by a sister-in-law Elizabeth Hickey; brother-in-laws Sam Zullo, Michael Insabella, Frank O'Connor and John Ribeiro.

     Virginia leaves behind her loving children Michele Soloway and her husband Robert of Toms River, Michael Thomas and his wife Tara of Belford, Nicholas Molino and his wife Kathleen of Cliffwood Beach, Frank Delisa and his wife Lorraine of Clifton, and Anthony Thomas of Keyport; grandchildren Stanley Adlar, Sean Adlar and his wife Diletta, Michael, Ashley and Briana Thomas, Madisyn and Mia Molino, Brie Welch, Kayla, Gianna, Aubrey and Jayden Thomas; and great-grandchildren Natalie and Kyleigh Adlar, Anthony Pinto, Lyric Thomas and Olivia Fowler.

   She also leaves behind siblings Herbert Hickey of Virginia, Raymond Hickey and his wife Remy of Wisconsin, Albert Hickey of Toms River, Henry Hickey and his wife Josephine of Missouri, Ann Zullo of Union Beach, Marion Insabella of Bricktown, Carol O'Connor of Cliffwood Beach, Charlotte Hickey of Keyport and Sandra Ribeiro of San Francisco, California.

   Virginia also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

   In Lieu of flowers, Virginia's family requests that you send a potted perennial plant for Mom's garden.

   Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial visitation for Virginia on Saturday May 28, 2022 from 10AM to 12PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
