Theresa (McCabe) Cruz

Theresa Ann Cruz of Keyport passed away unexpectedly at home on February 19, 2020.

She was born in Jersey City, the daughter of the late John F. and Ann (McCann) McCabe.

Terry is predeceased by her beloved husband Walter Cruz, her sister Madonna Mettler of Florida, and her brother Gerard McCabe of Jackson.

She is survived by her brother John F. McCabe and his wife Charlene of Mashpee, Massachusetts, and her sister, Patricia Tiedemann and her husband Christopher of Hazlet. She was the loving aunt of Amy Mettler of Florida, Jacqueline Pataky of Freehold, Scott Butler of Keyport, Heather Tiedemann and Christopher Tiedemann of Hazlet, Jonathan McCabe, Sean McCabe and Rachel Walsh of Massachusetts.

Terry graduated from St. Benedict's Grammar School in Holmdel, St. Mary's High School, South Amboy and obtained a BS degree in Accounting from St. Peter's College, Jersey City. She worked for many years as a systems analyst for a number of banks in the area before her retirement. Terry was much loved by all of her family and is already missed very much.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, NJ, on March 9, 2020, at 10 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Association, in her memory, are appreciated.
