Steven Alexander Joyce

   Steven Alexander Joyce, 63 of Laurence Harbor passed away Wednesday August 10, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of New Brunswick.

   He was born in Long Branch, New Jersey and became a high school graduate.

   He proudly served his county in the United States Marine Corp., after which he would go on to become a beloved Foreman working for Esposito Construction of Colts Neck, for many years.

   He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Gittings and a brother Michael Sickles.

   Steven is survived by his beloved wife Mary (Johnston) Joyce; a dear mother Edna Gittings, siblings Allison McDaniel and her husband Benjamin of Alaska, Jimmy Gittings of Alaska, Barbara Wilson and her husband Chuck of Louisiana, and Karen Smith of Pennsylvania.

   Steven was highly regarded in his profession by his employer and his colleagues, known as a gentle giant with a big heart.

   Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Steven on Tuesday August 16, 2022 from 2-4PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.  At that time a funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 3PM.

Following services, Steven will be privately cremated.  In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association.
