Steven Gass

Steven Gass 60 of Keyport passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Hackensack Meridian Hospital, Holmdel NJ. 

  He was born in Red Bank, New Jersey to the late George Gass and Eleanor (Federici) Gass.

  Steven is also predeceased by a nephew Joey Jack.

  For several years Steven has been an HVAC Technician and is the esteemed Owner and Operator of Gass Heating and Cooling LLC. of Hazlet.  

  He was loved by his family, friends and customers. He was the guy who came out in the middle of the night to fix your heat. He was known for his random acts of kindness and generosity to strangers; making friends wherever his feet were planted. A lovable funny guy, a prankster and great conversationalist. 

  He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially his dogs Theo and Roxy. 

  Steven is survived by a dear stepdaughter Megan Dygon of New York; an ex-wife and dear friend Debbie Dygon of Florida; beloved siblings Susane Gass-Smith and husband Terrance of Keyport, Carole D'Amico and husband Don of Port Charlotte, Florida, Elaine Purcell of Virginia, Dee Bradley of Keansburg, George Gass Jr. of Seaside and Elinor Jack of Toms River; loving neices Elaine Banks, Treacy Foley, Debra Lapinski; loving nephews Stuart Purcell, Arthur and Jason Jack, Justin D'Amico; Great-neice Cheyanne Banks and great-nephews Dallas Banks, Michael and Thomas Foley, Jayden Birch and Noah Jack.

   Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Steven on Wednesday December 15, 2021 from 4-8PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735 and again Thursday December 16, 2021 10AM at the funeral home for an 11AM Funeral Service at the funeral home.  

   Burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery of Keyport.
