Steven B Budge

Steven Budge, 61, passed away at home on December 1, 2019. He lived in Cliffwood Beach for most of his life where he owned Steve’s Sweet Shop, home of his famous 99¢ pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches. 

He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Janet; his four girls, Jenna, Kristie, Amy, and Tara; and an ‘83 Mustang Convertible. His loving siblings, John, Kathy, Patricia, Michael, Timmy, and Kevin will miss his company and his good-natured spirit. He also leaves behind his granddaughter, Maia J, sons-in-law, Oj, Dave, and Steve, and so many good friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John, his mother, Mary, and his brother, Andrew.

An avid cook, jack-of-all-trades, athlete, ice cream connoisseur, jokester, and storyteller, Steve was rarely seen without a smile and a song. To know him was to love him and he will always be on our minds.

The wake will be held at Day Funeral Home in Keyport from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00.
