Scott Patrick Butler, Jr., 41, formerly of Hazlet, passed away Tuesday September 5, 2023, at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. He was born in Red Bank, New Jersey and resided in Middletown.
Scott was a passionate sports fan who loved both playing and watching games. He was a die-hard Mets and NY Giants fan and he rooted for the Knicks. Growing up, he played for various HYAL little league baseball teams as well as the Hazlet Hawks football program. In high school, Scott played baseball and freshman football for the Raritan Rockets.
Some of his hobbies included: riding his motorcycle, snowboarding, working out, camping, and walking his adorable puppy, Juice.
Scott was a hard worker and a successful young man. He worked in IT right out of high school installing cabling for computer networks. Most recently, he was working in the IT department for Horizon.
Scott was a generous man with a good heart. He loved a good joke, and especially loved telling them! More specifically, the ones that have a long story before the punch line that took forever to tell! He loved to have a good time and being surrounded by those he loved. He enjoyed many types of music and loved to dance.
Scott is survived by his family, his many friends and loved ones, and his loving puppy.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial visitation for Scott on Friday September 15, 2023, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport.
