Rose Marie Walsh

Rose Marie Walsh of Union Beach passed away on Sunday October 18, 2020 at Care One at King James of Atlantic Highlands.  She was  83.

She was born in Jersey City to the late Antonio and Mary Flora, on January 7, 1937.  

A strong single mother, she moved with her family from Jersey City to Union Beach in 1974.  Later in life, Rose Marie loved her family’s trips to Disney World.  Her most enjoyable trip was to Italy visiting family. 

Rose Marie worked at Western Electric in Kearney in the 80’s and later as a home health care aid until she was 77 years old.

She was predeceased by her sister Nicholina, brother Anthony and her brother Angelo.

Rose Marie leaves behind daughters Diane Giordano and her husband Frank of Barnegat; RoseMary LoRusso who resides in Georgia; her son William G. Semmens Sr. - Gail McLaughlin of Union Beach; and her son Raymond D. Semmens also of Union Beach.

She also leaves behind six adored grandchildren Tobey Pica, Luke LoRusso, Lael LoRusso, William Semmens Jr., Ryan Semmens, Noel Giordano  and six great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to Gail McLaughlin, Ryan Semmens and William Semmens Jr.  for the care-giving of Rose Marie in her time of illness.  A very special thanks to RoseMary for handling all the arrangements.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation for Rose Marie on Friday October 23, 2020 from 1PM to 5PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.  At that time a funeral service will be held at the funeral home.
