Richard Decker Obituary

Richard Joseph Decker, 86, of Hazlet, passed away Sunday November 1, 2020 at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.  

He was born in Newark  to the late Otto R. and Helen (Lengel) Decker.

Richard proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict and was also a life member of the Aberdeen Hose and Chemical Company #1.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Carole Ann Decker.

Richard is survived by his loving children Patricia Reingle and her husband Robert of Morganville and Joanne Decker and Tony of Olyphant, Pennsylvania; a brother Edward Decker and his wife Joanne of Piscataway; grandchildren Dr. Jennifer Gonzalez and her husband Julio of Dallas, Texas, Tricia Savino and her husband Christopher of Manalapan, and beloved great-grandchildren Chase, Cassidy and Chloe Savino and Jarrett Gonzalez, and dear nieces & nephews.

A visitation will be held for Richard on Thursday November 5, 2020 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.  A funeral home service will be offered during the visitation at 1:00PM. 

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery of Keyport, NJ.
