Raymond "Pop-Ray" W. Michaud 89 of Hazlet, passed away Friday June 25, 2021 at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.
He was born in the town of Lowell, Massachusetts to the late Wilfrid J. Michaud and his Mother Rose A. (Boisvert) Michaud.
Raymond proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict.
Raymond was a longtime active parishioner of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church of Holmdel.
He was known for his generous, honest and loving nature towards others, and especially his sense of humor.
Raymond was also predeceased by his his beloved wife Josephine (Bellotto) Michaud; siblings Jeanette Saulnier, Theresa Wallace, Roland Michaud, Ronnie Michaud, and a dear daughter-in-law Joyce Gallo.
Raymond leaves behind his siblings Pauline Miller, Roger Michaud and his wife Kerry, Richard Michaud and his wife Louise; and many nieces and nephews children Thomas D. Gallo Jr. of Keyport, Debbie Gallopo and her husband Gary of Keyport and Florence May and her husband Bill also of Keyport; grandchildren Joni Kocur and partner Edward Lewandowski, Dana Crawford, Denise Burke and her husband Thomas, James Gallo and his partner Arisleyda Diez, Janet Markowski and her husband Darryl, Caly Gallopo and partner Rosario Bonsignore and Joseph Gallopo and his wife Stephanie; great-grandchildren Sydney Kocur, Reagan Crawford, Drew and Hannah Burke, Jace and Jaxon Gallo, Ava and Gia Gallopo and Rachyal Kneute and her husband Jacob; and great-great-grandchildren Lincoln and Jacob Kneute.
He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Raymond on Wednesday June 30, 2021 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey and again on Thursday July 1, 2021 9am at the funeral home for a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church of Holmdel.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery of Keyport.
