Philip D. Klimek, 82 of Cliffwood Beach passed away at home, Tuesday September 1, 2020. Born in Wisconsin he grew up in St. Michael, MN., before attending college and locating in New Jersey and eventually in Cliffwood Beach. He was a graduate of Notre Dame, class of 61 then went on to earn his Masters Degree at Newark College of Engineering. Philip worked as a Chemical Engineer for Mobay in Bayonne, NJ., Etron in Metuchen, NJ., and most recently for the Department of Defense in Ft. Monmouth. Philip worked as a volunteer chairman of the Community Advisory Group involved in the cleanup of sites along the Raritan Bay. Philip was a parishioner of St. Lawrence RC Church where he had served in many ministries.
Philip leaves behind his loving wife; Winifred (nee Coane) Klimek, cherished children, Edmund Philip Klimek and his wife Sarah of Plainsboro and Timothy Philip Klimek and his wife Lori of Union Beach. He also leaves his adored grandchildren; Thomas Klimek of York, PA., Caroline Klimek and her husband Jordon Robins of Bradley Beach and Daniel Klimek of Union Beach.
Relatives and friends are invited Friday, September 4, 2020 from 6-9 PM and Saturday 9 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM at St. Lawrence RC Church. Burial will follow at the Madonna Fort Lee Cemetery.
