Peter John Szeles

   Peter John Szeles, 86 of Hazlet, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.

   He was born in Bronx, New York to the late Paul Szeles and Rose (Bruno) Szeles.

   Peter is also predeceased by his sisters Maryann Merkel and Carol Armbrust.

   He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia (MacGeorge) Szeles; daughters Maureen Vanderweerd and Deceased Husband William of Middletown, Dori Shields and her Fiance Frank Denorscio of Whiting, Caroline King and husband Richard (who was like a son to Peter) of Barnegat; five sons Peter Jr., John, Robert, Paul, and Troy; nineteen grandchildren and many Great-grandchildren.
 
   Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Peter on Wednesday September 8, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, NJ 07735 and again on Thursday September 9, 2021 9AM at the funeral home for a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church of Union Beach.  

   Following mass, Peter will be privately cremated.
