Patrick James Dowd

  Patrick James Dowd Jr, 65 of Cliffwood Beach, passed away Saturday July 24, 2021 at Riverview Medical Center of Red Bank.

  He was born in Irvington, New Jersey to the late Patrick J. Dowd Sr. and Kathleen (Rogers) Dowd.

  Patrick was a lifelong Roofer working for the Local 4 Union Roofers and Waterproofers out of Parsipany, New Jersey.

  He was a selfless and generous man who took pride in caring for and loving his family.

  Patrick was a motorcyclist and enjoyed riding, fishing and spending time with family.

  He was also a member of the Keyport Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph's Council #3402, Columbian Club and the Keyport/Matawan Elks Lodge #2030, of which he was a founding member of their MC Motorcycle Club.

  Patrick is also predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Julia Savi and Dominick Rocco Savi; siblings Gordon Banfield and Thomas Dowd; and brother-in-laws Dominick Savi and Kevin Parsells.

  He is survived by his beloved wife Rosemarie Savi; children Catrina Davis and her husband Chris of Union Beach, Melissa Savi-Bonner and her husband Donel of Parlin; siblings Barbara Parsells of Union Beach, Colleen Burns of Brownsmills, Diana Dowd of Petersburg, West Virginia.

  Patrick also leaves behind his loving grandchildren Angelica, Isabella, and Christopher Davis and Dominic Goss; brother-in-law Joseph Savi and Sharon of Union Beach, brother-in-law Carlo Conrad and Tracey of Edison, sister-in-law Michele O'Brien and O'B of Cliffwood Beach, sister-in-law Kathy Banfield of Eagle River, Alaska, sister-in-law Joy Dowd of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and sister-in-law Kathi Savi of Destin, Florida. 

  Patrick also leaves many nieces and nephews as well.

  Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Patrick on Friday July 30, 2021 from 4PM to 8PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.

  There will be a funeral service offered for Patrick during the hours of visitation.

  Following services, Patrick will be privately cremated.
