Nickolas Diamond Tripolites

Nickolas Diamond Tripolites, 80 passed away Thursday June 14, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Fords, NJ but called Laurence Harbor his home.
Nickolas was a auto mechanic at Racz's Garage and PJ Autobody in Fords, New Jersey where he worked for many years. He enjoyed fishing, his dog Tonka, camping and antique cars. He was a loving husband, father and cherished PopPop, who will be deeply missed. During his time he always had a good story, could whistle like a champ and could make everyone laugh with his famous one liners.
He was predeceased by his parents Diamond Tripolites and Catherine Ostegaard, his daughter Sandra Wagner, granddaughter Brittany Letizia and brothers Diamond Tripolites, Arthur and Henry Smith.
Nickolas is survived by his wife Shirley Weeks Tripolites to whom he was married for 60 years, his daughters and son in laws Shirlee and Gary Letizia of Laurence Harbor, Cathy and Dave Dollear of Cliffwood and Nicki and Ryan Francis of Keyport and son in law Peter Wagner of Cedarville.
 
He is also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren Matt Letizia and his wife Kristy, Cory Dollear and his wife Jeana, Cassidy Johnson and her husband DJ, Nickolas Wagner and Jamie Mazza.  Emily, Nolan, and Meghan Francis.
His eight treasured great grandchildren Kerri, Kara, Morgan, Mattison, Chase, Cora, Lucas, Jillian, and baby Evan on the way.
 
 And his incredibly large and loving family filled with sister and brother in laws, many nieces and nephews and those he adopted as his family.
Nickolas was a gentle giant with a kind spirit, a passion for family and laughter. His legacy will continue through all of those he touched

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday June 16, 2018 from 3-6 PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735.
