Michael James Ferrero

  Michael J. Ferrero, 57 of Jamesburg, passed away Tuesday November 30, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.
 
   He was born in Fort Benning, Georgia and grew up in Staten Island, NY. and is predeceased by his mother, Florence (McManus) Vomero, and his brother Edward Vomero.
 
   Michael is survived by his beloved father Vincent Ferrero and step-mother Linda Ferrero of Massachusetts; his children Michael and Shane Ferrero of Monroe, NJ; a dear former spouse Laurie Ferrero of Monroe, NJ; and siblings Stephen Ferrero and his wife Teresa of California, David Ferrero and his wife Virginia of Old Bridge, NJ, Tony Ferrero of Massachusettes and Mario Ferrero and his wife Norma of Massachusetts and many nieces and nephews.
 
   He was proud to be a retired NYC corrections officer and an explosive canine handler and had a huge love for animals.
 
   At the request of the family Michael will be privately cremated.
 
   Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial visitation for Michael on Saturday December 4, 2021 from 2-5 PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.   During that time a brief prayer service will be held for Michael.
