Lillian C. Thomas, 93, of Matawan, NJ passed away Sunday, March 21st, at Bayshore Hospital, Holmdel.
She was the widow of James V. Thomas, Sr.
Lillian was born in Hoboken, NJ on July 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Arthur Waltz, Sr. and stepmother, Helen.
She spent most of her life living in Matawan raising her family. Lillian worked for many years in food service for the Matawan Regional School District and as a housekeeper at Bayshore Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo, and going to Atlantic City. Lillian loved her parish of Our Lady of Fatima, St. Joseph's Church in Keyport and also loved dogs.
Lillian is survived by her cherished children; James, Linda Potosky, Russell, Keith, Arthur, June Berliner and Laurie Zalepka, her 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving brother Thomas Waltz and sister Winifred Plath. She is predeceased also by her brother Arthur Waltz, Jr. and sisters Mary Gulics and Louise Carbone.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3-7pm at the funeral home and again on Friday at 9AM for a last viewing followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph's RCC at 10AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.
