Kathleen A. Rutsky

Kathleen A. Rutsky, of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey passed away peacefully on
Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the age of 72.
Kathy now joins her parents, William Hoy and Alberta (Blackshaw) Hoy, her brother,
William Hoy Jr., and her brother-in-law Richard Borcsak in eternal rest.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband, Walter Rutsky Jr.; children Marie Rutsky of
East Windsor and Barbara (Rutsky) D’Amico and her husband William Peter of
Maryland; siblings Marilyn Sundquist and her husband Vic of Toms River, Sharon
Borcsak of Toms River, Elaine Mohrman and her husband Richard of Edison, Lori Hoy
of Richmond, Texas, Richard Hoy of Browns Mills, Patty McElroy and her husband Kyle
of Littleton, Colorado, Regina Hoy and her husband Tim Peer of East Brunswick,
Michelle Feeney and her husband Paul of Toms River. She is also survived by her
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Lyn Rutsky of North Carolina.
Kathy also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Peter and Ellie D’Amico of Maryland,
and many, many nieces, nephews and numerous cousins throughout New Jersey and a
few other states.
Kathy graduated from Carteret High School. She went to Drake Business school and
worked at Western Electric where she met her future husband, Walt. Kathy and Walt
were married in April of 1971, and eventually settled down in Cliffwood Beach where
they raised their two daughters.
Kathy was a devout catholic and active parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Keyport.
She also was a former member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Joseph’s Church.
She had a bubbly and caring personality with a hearty laugh. She loved to smile, be
smiled at, and was a sweet and helpful person.

Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Kathy on Monday July 20, 2020 from
2-4 PM or 7-9 PM at Day Funeral Home of Keyport, New Jersey 07735 and also on
Tuesday July 21, 2020 at 9 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM at St
Joseph's Church of Keyport.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's  Mausoleum of
Keyport.
