Kathleen Rosato, 72 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Kathleen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late John Pearce and Mildred (Simon) Pearce.
She graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor's degree in Education, where she met her husband, Justin. She then was a physical education teacher at Memorial School, Union Beach, New Jersey. Alongside loving husband Justin in later years, she was the office manager for their family owned company Rosato Electric in Matawan, New Jersey.
Kathleen was an avid sports fan, who especially loved the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. She was a season ticket holder for the Eagles and loved attending the games with family members. Kathy’s biggest pride was her children and grandchildren. She was their biggest fan and was always present at any and all of their events throughout their childhood. Later in life, you could always find Kathy showing support at all of her grandkids games and activities. She also loved books and would always be found reading throughout the day. During the summers she loved vacationing at the shore with her family, grandkids, and extended family. They would visit Cape May, Wildwood, and other local beaches and spend time telling stories and playing games.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband Justin Rosato Jr; daughter Tara Elk and husband Cory of Mount Laurel, New Jersey; daughter Amanda Rosato of Old Bridge, New Jersey; son Justin Rosato and wife Jennifer of Middletown, New Jersey and four beautiful grandchildren Samantha Elk, Justin Rosato, Ryan Rosato, and Reese Rosato; brother Richard Pearce, sister Tricia Merriam and husband Brian, and sister Lorraine Pearce.
At the request of the family Kathleen will be privately cremated and a memorial is scheduled at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Old Bridge on December 1, 2023. There will be a gathering at the church at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30am.
