Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Luisa (Huacon) Vanoni; and adoring children Lynda Vanoni and  Joseph J. Vanoni Jr. Joseph also leaves behind a brother Fred Vanoni and dozens of loving nephews and nieces who will miss him dearly.

Joseph was a Navy Veteran, having proudly served from 1955 to 1959.

Joseph was a parishioner of St. Ann's RC Church in Keansburg.

A highly skilled carpenter, Joe worked as a Master Carpenter for Lohr’s Yacht Company, and then went on to work for the Hazlet Township Municipal Authority.
Joe, a very generous man,  loved to entertain at his home, and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was  sensitive, and extraodinarily creative and ingenuitive.

Joe enjoyed listening to the music of his era as well as watching television westerns, crime dramas, home shopping shows, Christmas movies and anything Navy related.
