Joseph A. Griffith, 80, of Matawan, NJ passed away Wednesday, May 27th, at Raritan Bay Hospital, Old Bridge.
Joseph was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 24, 1939, a son of the late Pauline J. Mohler Wright and Joseph R. Griffith. Joseph was employed for many years as a Black Seal Boiler Operator in Monmouth County, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Merchant Marine, a lifetime member of the NRA and also a member of the National Model Railroad Association. Joseph was also a firefighter at Oakshades Fire Company, and a lifetime EMT at Cliffwood First Aid.
Joseph is predeceased by his brothers Theodore Griffith, Robert and David Wright and his nephew Edward Wright. He is survived by his brothers Edward and his wife Gale and Paul Wright,, his devoted nieces Kristin and her husband Shawn Carlisle and her 3 children and 2 grandchildren, Lori Wright and her 8 children and Edward Wright 5 children.
