Joseph DeCarlo

Joseph DeCarlo, of Toms River passed away Saturday October 31, 2020 at the Hampton Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Toms River.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Daniel DeCarlo and Concetta (Algerio) DeCarlo.

He was predeceased by his sister Rosemarie DeCarlo.

Joseph is survived by his beloved Wife Donna DeCarlo of Keyport; His Sons Steven and Michael DeCarlo. Daughter in laws Lisa and Keri. Loving Grandsons Daniel, Jonathan, Evan and Matthew all of Staten Island, New York.

Joseph also leaves behind a Mother in Law Florence Cretella. Sister in Law Valerie Vairo and her husband John. Brother in Law Eugene Cretella and his wife Shikira and multiple Nieces and Nephews.

He was a United States Army Veteran and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in 1969.

For many years, Joseph was a Manager at a Financial Brokerage firm, last working at Ryan Beck and Company in Livingston, New Jersey.

Joe had an infectious laugh and was always a man of integrity and impeccable judgment. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and dedication to his family and friends whom he loved. He was affectionately called “Bender” by his friends. Joe was also an avid sports fan.  

Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Joseph on Tuesday November 3, 2020 from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735, and again on Wednesday November 4, 2020 at the funeral home at 9:45AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church of Keyport.  
Burial will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Middle Village NY.
