Joseph J. Angello of Matawan, NJ passed away on October 30, he was 93 years old. Joseph was born October 1, 1928, in Matawan and was a lifelong resident of Matawan. He was a 1946 graduate of Matawan High School.
Joseph was employed as an electrical supervisor at Dupont in Parlin for more than 30 years. He later served as an electrical inspector in East Brunswick and Spotswood for another 30 years.
Joseph was a parishioner of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church in Matawan where he served as head usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by his wife and “Darling” of 69 years Millie, his son Robert, his parents John and Nunziata Angello, his brother Patrick, sister-in-law Patricia Angello, brother-in-law Harold Mewhiney and daughter-in-law Rebecca Angello.
He is survived by his children, son John of Jensen Beach, FL; daughter Deborah Marchetta and her husband Russell of Venice, FL; daughter Nancy Zanghi and her husband Charles of Bradley Beach; son Frank and his wife Theresa of Brielle; son Joseph and his wife Julie of Longboat Key, FL; daughter Barbara Bunge and her husband Ed of East Brunswick; daughter Millie Ash and her husband Mike of Brielle; and daughter MaryBeth Ferraro of Spring Lake. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, Judith Tobias, Marc Angello and his fiancée Kathryn Brown, Aimee Angello and her partner Nick Durso, Kyle Angello, Jason Zanghi and his wife Jena, Randall Zanghi and his wife Michele, Michael Zanghi, Frank Angello, Ashley Angello Farmer and her husband Will, Joseph Angello and his fiancée Katie Halper, Bryanna Angello and her fiance Joe Mosby, Eddie Bunge and his wife Lauren, Eric Bunge and his wife Sara, Evan Bunge, Michael Ash and his wife Katie, Alexandra Smith and her husband Mike, Danielle Faley and her husband Tyler, Gianna Ferraro and Olivia Ferraro. He is also survived by his 13 great grandchildren, Amelia Chuisano; Isabella and Ethan Gargiulo; Reef Durso; Spencer, Dylan and Jackson Zanghi; Anna Angello; Wyatt Farmer; Emma, Jayden and Gwen Bunge; and Owen Ash. His sister Patricia Angello of Ohio and his many dear nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Joseph on Wednesday November 3, 2021 from 4-8PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 and again on Thursday November 4, 2021 9AM at the funeral home for a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clement's Church of Matawan.
Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Mausoleum of Keyport.
