John Rothenwander Obituary

John Rothenwander, 82, of Hazlet, passed away, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, surrounded by his family. He was born in Manhattan, New York, and he worked as an Installer for Verizon for thirty years in the city. He was in the National Guard in the Army. He enjoyed horse races and Atlantic City. He was a member of the Rosacrucians. John loved making people laugh and singing songs.

 

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Agnes (Walsh) Rothenwander; and his brother, Edward Rothenwander. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie (Renton) Rothenwander, and his daughter, Janet (Rothenwander) Zolan, and her husband, Jesse Zolan, of Toms River; he is also survived by his sister, Johanna Carbia, of FL. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

 

Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport NJ, 07735. A Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 9:15 AM at the funeral home for a 10AM mass at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport. Interment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
