John J Norton

John J. Norton, 84 of Laurence Harbor formerly of Jersey City passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Leisure Chateau Care Center, Lakewood.  He proudly served his country as a Marine.  He was a Longshoreman working in Jersey City. John loved being Irish but his greatest love was his Wife, Children and Grandchildren.
John is predeceased by his parents; Joseph and Marion Norton, son Terence Norton,and sister Rosemary Ward.  He is survived by his loving wife; Catherine, adored children; Joseph Norton of Laurence Harbor, Maggie Pazik and husband Stan of Jackson, Maureen Smith and husband Shawn of Freehold, cherished grandchildren; Matthew Pazik, Brianna Pazik, Shannon Smith and Caitlin Smith.
Relatives and friends are invited Wednesday January 19, 2022 from 4-8 PM and Thursday January 20, 2022 9-9:45 AM at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 AM at St. Lawrence RC Church, Laurence Harbor.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Keyport.
