John Wayne (Sr.) Chabala

John Wayne Chabala Sr., 64 of Union Beach, passed away Monday May 24, 2021 at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to the late John Chabala and Mary (Augusta) Powell.

For many years John worked as a Forklift Operator for various companies finally coming to work at Tris Pharma Inc. in Monmouth Junction, NJ where he was currently working.

He loved traveling and did so whenever he had the chance, whether is was trips to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; Atlantic City, or buying a lottery ticket.

Above all else John was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

John leaves behind his beloved wife Michele (Legato) Chabala; his daughter Nicole Chabala of Union Beach; his son John Wayne Chabala Jr. also of Union Beach; a dear grandson Alexander Tanner, and siblings Patricia Petroski of Linden and Bruce Bolen and his wife Tina of Florida.

At the request of the family John was privately cremated.  

A celebration of life will be held at North Centerville Volunteer Firehouse, 372 Middle Rd. Hazlet, New Jersey 07730 beginning at 2pm and ending at 6pm on May 30, 2021.
