Joan I (Driscoll) Cornelia

Joan I Cornelia, 78 of Hazlet, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, with her family by her side She was a teacher in the Clifton School District before working for the Hazlet Twp. School District.

Joan is predeceased by her husband Andrew, parents; Vincent and Irene Driscoll and her brother Vincent Driscoll.  She is survived by her loving children; Renee and Drew Cornelia both of Hazlet. She also leaves her niece Kelly (Fernando) Driscoll-Martinez, nephew Vincent (Bridget) Driscoll, niece Nicol Driscoll, nephew Harmon Lippe and great nieces and nephews, Alixandra (Jonathan) Hrizuk, Nicholas (Brittany) Lippe, Juliet, Dylan, Lili, Tayla,and Benjamin.

Joan had a full life doing the things she loved; riding her bicycle, sewing and making clothes, playing the piano, and traveling the world with her parents, husband and brother. She especially enjoyed the company of her family, friends and birds and was known as the candid photographer. She will be greatly missed by all. 

Relatives and friends are invited Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 3:30 to 7:30 PM and Thursday, 10 AM at the funeral home.  A service will be held 11 AM followed by mausoleum entombment at Holmdel. In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Heart Association will be greatly appreciated.
