Jean Sadowski Obituary


  Jean Marie (Rehbein) Sadowski, 86, of Crossville, TN, passed away September 6, 2021. She was born to Frederick Rehbein and Mary (Lowicki) Rehbein on October 6, 1934, in Jersey City, NJ. Jean graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1951.  After high school, she worked as a secretary for the majority of her career. She loved playing games, especially Bingo with friends.  She was talented in the kitchen and immensely proud of her prize-winning pound cake recipe.  

  She married the late John Sadowski in 1971, and they lived together in Matawan, NJ for twenty-two years. She relocated to Toms River, NJ in 1995 and remained there until moving to Crossville, TN in the summer of 2021. Jean is survived by two children: James Sadowski (Leslie) of Crossville, TN; and Jeanine (Sadowski) Kleba (Paul) of Yardley, PA.  She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a loving sister Bernice Schafer of Toms River, NJ.  Jean was predeceased by her loving husband John in 1993.

  Friends and family are invited to a brief visitation at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 Friday, September 17, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Cemetery of Keyport.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
