Janet A. Tobin of Old Bridge NJ passed away at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, John J. Tobin. She is survived by her sons, John P. and his wife Carol, Robert and his wife Stacey, and Brian and his wife Patti; her three grandsons Brian Jr., Liam, and Kalen; her sister Dolores and her husband Roger; and her brother Robert and his wife Gail; along with loving nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Janet was a New York City native. After high school Janet worked as an administrative assistant on Wall Street before meeting her husband John and starting their family. Janet and her growing family moved to the New Jersey suburbs in 1974. She and her family were active participants in St Lawrence Parish and Most Holy Redeemer parish. She volunteered as a teacher’s aide in the local Old Bridge schools. Janet was an avid reader and frequent visitor of the Old Bridge Library.
Her greatest joy was her family. She cherished the years as Nana to her grandsons and was delighted and so proud to see them grow to become wonderful young men. She especially valued her independence, and took pride in her household and the connections to her neighborhood friends of almost 50 years.
