James W. Zdanewicz "Jimmy Z", 79, lifelong resident of South Amboy passed away Friday, April 28 , 2022 at Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center, South Amboy. He held a Masters Degree from Seton Hall University. James worked for the Keyport School District as a Physical Education Teacher for 39 years. He was an Athletic Director, Baseball Coach and was inducted in the New Jersey Hall of Fame for Coaching. He was also a member of The Knights of Columbus, South Amboy. James is predeceased by his parents; Walter and Grace Zdanewicz and sister Ruth Zdanewicz. He is survived by his loving wife; Judith, cherished daughter, Shauna Zdanewicz of Keyport, his adored granddaughter, Lennan Grace Gonsalves, his endeared sister-in-law Connie Reynolds and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited Monday, May 2, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 11 AM at the funeral home. A service will be offered and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
