Helen E. (Mabie) Bean

Helen E. (Mabie) Bean, 93, of Keyport, passed away, Monday, March 20, 2017, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.  Born in Hoboken, she resided in Newark and Matawan, before settling in Keyport.  Prior to retiring, she worked as a Nurses’ Aide at Perth Amboy General Hospital.  She was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Elks of Keyport; and the Keyport and Union Beach Senior Club.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred L. Bean in 1995; and her parents, John and Elizabeth (Silvers) Mabie.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Carol Schenkel; two cherished grandchildren, James and Michael Drower; and four precious great grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Ashley and Paige.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. 

Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2017, from 3-5PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Monday, March 27, 2017, 10AM, with an 11AM prayer at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Brig.
