Guy A. LaVignera

Guy A. LaVignera, 76, of Morganville, NJ passed away Tuesday, May 5th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, due to complications from COVID-19.  He was the loving husband of Mary (Mazzella) LaVignera.
Guy was born in Sicily, Italy, on February 6th, 1944, a son of the late Vincenza and Vito LaVignera, and brother to the late Josephine Iacono.  He lived in Brooklyn, NY, Staten Island, NY, and Lakewood, NJ, before settling in Morganville. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and he worked 40+ years at Chase Bank in Manhattan, NY.  He enjoyed playing golf, swimming, playing cards, watching sports and spending time with friends, but most important to him was spending time with his beloved family.
Guy is survived by his loving wife Mary and his devoted children Gina LaVignera and her husband Paul Reddy, Joseph and his wife Jacqueline LaVignera and Michelle LaVignera. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Kaitlyn LaVignera, Madelyn Rose Cooney, Tyler LaVignera and Aidan Reddy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
