Obituary
George "Joey" A Diaz, 61, of Keyport, NJ passed away Tuesday, March 14th, at his home.
George was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on December 2, 1961, a son of the late Ann (Davila) and Antonio Diaz. He lived in Brooklyn, NY and Cicero, IL prior to moving to Keyport 18 years ago.
He worked as a Merchandise Controller at Novart Studios and Commercial Graphics in NY. He also spent time as a ambulance dispatcher for St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Chicago. He enjoyed bowling in numerous leagues.
George leaves behind his cherished partner of 18 years Henry Borchers, devoted siblings Carmen, Luis, Yolanda and Freddie. Also many loving and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM on Sunday, March 19th at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey. Again visitation will be held 9 AM to 9:45 AM on Monday, March 20th at Day Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM on Monday, March 20th at Our Lady Of Fatima Parish in Keyport, NJ and entombment will be held at Holmdel Cemetery.
