George R. Boekmeyer, 83 of Cliffwood Beach, passed away peacefully, Saturday December 11, 2021, at home.
He was born in Bronx, New York to the late Frederick Boekmeyer and Claire (Olivier) Boekmeyer; also predeceased by a dear grandson Dustin Fisher; daughters Barbara Royle and Donna Brown; and sibling Claire Eriksen.
For fifty years George worked as a Forklift Technician for Barclay Brand Ferdon of South Plainfield and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed many hobbies, such as making trains, wood working, fishing, and hunting. Most of all he enjoyed being with his loving family.
George is survived by his beloved wife Janet (Foder) Boekmeyer to whom he shared his life with for 63 years; a sibling Louise Harmon and her husband Dave of Washington State; loving children Jacqueline Pearce and her husband Donald of Union Beach, Deborah Boekmeyer of Great Meadows, and Janet (Ree) Fazekas and her husband Robert of Morgan; son-in-law’s James Royle, Kenny Brown and Paul Fisher; grandchildren Dawn Snyder, Nancy Pearce and Cherie Martin, Alyssa and Christopher Fisher, Billy, Jena, Kenny and Katie Brown, Jimmy, Megan, George and Danny Royle and Krystal Fazekas; and beloved great-grandchildren Timmy Jr., Emma, Jasmine, Amaya, Jayce, Olivia, Mikey, Nora and Tommy Jr.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for George on Friday December 18, 2021 from 4-6PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
At that time a Catholic Service will be offered at the funeral home for George.
Following visitation, George will be privately cremated.
