Frank Cassidy, 67, of Freehold passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Centrastate Medical Center.
He was a larger than life character that was loved by all and could light up a room with his stories and laughter. He was a generous man who took anyone in who needed a place to stay or rest their head. He followed in his father’s footsteps and became a heavy equipment operator for local 825. He passed down his knowledge to his son Franklin who currently also works as an operator. Frank’s life was filled with many adventures whether it was on his motorcycle, in his van, or in his pickup. He was a seasoned hunter and fisherman who loved being outdoors and on his boat. These passions were passed down from his father Bud to his son Franklin.
He is predeceased by by his parents Franklin “Bud” Cassidy and Mary (Auriemma) Megill.
He leaves behind his loving son Franklin Cassidy; his adoring sisters Angelina Putnam and Donna Purcell. He also leaves behind his cherished nephews David Battista, Shawn Putnam, Ryan Putnam; his great nephew Damian Connett; his niece Brianna Wilson. He is also survived by his four aunts Margaret, Nancy, Kitty, and Carol as well as numerous cousins and cherished friends.
Frank’s cremation was private and a memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 1-4PM.
