Elizabeth "Betty" A. Wheeler

   Elizabeth (Betty) A. Wheeler, 91, of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
  
   Born on October 1, 1930 in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Harriet Dalton.
She is predeceased by her beloved husbands Michael Holowatch and Ted Wheeler, and siblings Lee Barker, Walter Dalton, and Cleveland Dalton.

   Betty was raised in Carteret, NJ and resided there until moving to Old Bridge in 1973. She worked as a switchboard operator for Perth Amboy General Hospital and retired in 1972 from her career as a secretary at GATX in Carteret.

   Betty was an accomplished knitter and crocheter who enjoyed creating gifts for others. She loved music and was always singing, dancing and playing the organ for family and friends. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed being surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Julia Manolio Holowatch, adoring grandchildren Vanessa Mironov (Daniel), Michael V. Holowatch (Tiffany), and Joyce Holowatch (Jeffrey), as well as her cherished great-grandchildren Luke and Victor Mironov, and Olivia Holowatch.

   Betty will be dearly missed by all that knew her. A private memorial will be held to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Betty’s memory be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan.
