Elaine McGrath

     Elaine McGrath, 78, of Somerset, formerly of Matawan, NJ, and Brooklyn, NY, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023.  She is a retired administrative assistant who spent most of her career at Chase Manhattan Bank.  

    Elaine is predeceased by her parents, Chester and Mildred Ordway; her sister, Carleen Birnie, and brother, Robert Ordway; her husband of 50 years, Terrence McGrath; and her beloved daughter, Kelly Ann McGrath.  She is survived by her brother Kenneth Ordway, her son, Brian, daughter-in-law Kristen, and adored grandchildren, Owen and Luke. 

    Elaine was an avid traveler, gardener, dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed shopping, meeting new people, and volunteering at Project Paul in Keansburg. She was a dedicated Catholic parishioner of St. Lawrence Church. 

    Relatives and friends are invited on Saturday, November 4th, from 8:30-9:50 AM at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
