Edmund J. Kaminski

 
Edmund J. Kaminski, 74, of Union Beach, NJ passed away Monday, June 28th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. 
He was the husband, best friend and soul mate of Patricia Kaminski (Trish) for 38 years.

Ed was born in Jersey City, NJ on March 23, 1947, the son of the late Susan and Edward Kaminski.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War from 1966-1972 and was stationed in Alaska. 
He was a Foreman at Nestle Foods Inc. Edison, NJ., and after retirement he worked for Avis cars as a car shuttler. Ed loved spending time with his and grandsons fishing and swimming and teaching them life lessons. Family time was his favorite time,  Sunday fun days in summer by the pool, annual Wildwood vacations and football season.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife, and his most recent adventure was traveling across country by car with his son to Nevada to pick up is best friend Butch. He loved Atlantic City, Vegas, his red corvette, fishing, and boating.  He spent much time on his deck with his kids listening to his favorite music from Dean Martin, Beach Boys,The Turtles, CCR, and music from the 60's.
Ed is predeceased by his parents and his sister Dorothy Tulko. He leaves behind his loving wife Trish, cherished children Eddie, Kelly Speiser and Amanda Fernandes. Also surviving are his devoted grandsons Eddie III, Jackson Speiser, Ryan, Maxwell, and Mason Bork.
Visitation will be held 3 PM to 6 PM on Thursday, July 1st at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey. A funeral service will be held between those hours. Please note that Ed's request for everyone is to please come dressed informal and comfortable as he will be as you will see.  He also requested and preferred that no one wear black as this is a celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled Veterans Charity.
