Douglas G. Jorgensen, 75 of Morganville, formerly of Staten Island and Cliffwood passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. He was in the Airforce for four years during the Vietnam War. After the military he then became a carpenter for the Carpenters Union in Perth Amboy for over 25 years before retiring in 2000.
He is predeceased by his parents; Robert and Doris Jorgensen. Douglas is survived by his loving wife Joyce M. (Meyer) his cherished children; Denise Walsh and her husband Marty of Hazlet, Kerry Jorgensen of Morganville, and adored grandson Aidan. He is also survived by his nine siblings and their spouses; Charlie and Sandy of Nevada, Bob and Lisa of Pittsburgh, Ken and Kathy of Keansburg, Bevy and Bill Schaden of Union Beach, Jim and Joan of Middletown, Ray and Joanne of Florida, Janis of Middletown, Ronny of Browns Mills, and Lori and Bob Bobak of Florida. He enjoyed photography, art and had recently taken up teaching himself to play the guitar. Being with his family was what he loved best. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited this Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 4 - 7 pm at Day Funeral Home, Keyport, NJ. A service will be held during the visitation. His cremation will be private.
