Dorothy Ann Weigand, 83 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022. She was born in Newark, NJ, lived most of her life in Old Bridge, NJ and retired and settled in Keyport, NJ for the remainder of her time with us.
Before her retirement, she worked for several employers including Warner Lambert where she was a secretary. She is predeceased by her parents, Jose and Agnes Martinez, siblings; Richard Martinez, Phyllis Mucci, Agnes DeRosa, and Muriel (Jean) Petito as well as her beloved daughter Lisa Weigand. She is survived by her two sons; Fred Weigand and wife Jill of Forked River, NJ and Wayne Weigand and wife Colleen of Harvest, AL. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Keith, Tara, Rebecca, Patrick, Samantha and Justin as well as her great-grandchildren; Ciaran, Cameron, Mackenzie and Desmond and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dorothy always loved spending time with her family and friends. She was very active in charity work for Deborah Hospital. She also enjoyed bowling, bingo, Mahjong and all games as well as shopping. She will be missed very, very much by all.
There will be an opportunity for family and friends to visit and share memories for a memorial visitation at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ on Saturday March 26, 2021 from 10AM to 11AM.
Immediately following will be a memorial mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ at 11:30AM .
In lieu of flowers; donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, TN 38105.
